Highly Sensitive People

Does the world seem too much sometimes?

Or do you get stressed a lot?

Or told you think too much?

About 15-20% of the population are 'highly sensitive' in that they pick-up more information through their senses than the average person, eg. changes in temperature are noticed by HSP's before others. It is actually a medical fact that their nervous system is more finely-tuned, as if everything is magnified.

Unfortunately the world is geared towards the other 80-85% and this can lead to some  HSP's feeling there is something wrong with them.

Common signs include:

  • Being strongly affected by other people's moods

  • Craving time alone after being around people

  • Feeling stressed with sudden changes in temperature, smell or when hungry

  • Being a light sleeper

  • Avoiding long periods of time with bright lights and loud music

  • Needing a calm environment to feel relaxed

  • Thinking of all possible scenario's in a situation

  • Getting irritated easily when your peace is disturbed

  • Being able to process information quickly, and spot problems before others

  • In the right conditions being brilliant at something, but quickly lose ability if get stressed or bored
